If you are a taxpayer from the Broad and Gales Creek Fire Tax or Service Districts you are already a member of the Broad and Gales Creek Community Association. This gives you certain rights, such as, having a say as to what direction the Board of Directors goes in on issues.
To become a member of the Board Of Directors all you have to do is to be a tax payer from our fire tax or service district and start coming to the meetings and getting involved. Before the Annual Meeting in November the Nominations Committee will start gathering names of individuals that want to be nominated for a seat on the board. At the Annual Meeting there will be a vote taken to determine who will be on the board for the following two year period. If you are one of the majority vote getters for the open seats you will be placed on the Board as a Director.
All Board members are volunteers and we need your help, even if it is only for a few minutes a month.
You may also help out the community by just showing up at the meetings and/or getting involved even if you do not want to be placed on the board. There are many ways to help, Buildings and Grounds are always needing help with maintaining the Buildings, Cemetery help is always needed for keeping the cemetery neat and clean, and the Memorial Park is always in need of help keeping the playground, swings, rides, etc. in order or raking the pine straw. There are also many other things that you can help with. Come get involved. Please contact us if you need more details.
